Our Mission

We want you to thrive.

Whether it's your first baby or your fifth, fatigue, brain fog, and difficulty breastfeeding can feel overwhelming. Our root-cause, personalized support helps boost your energy, achieve your breastfeeding goals, and give you the data-backed nutrition answers you need to feel like your confident self again.

The meaning behind Aloha

Aloha means many things in Hawaiian, but at its heart it means love, care, and affection. That love starts with caring for yourself and filling up your cup, which overflows into all areas of your life including how you show up for your family. That is what Aloha Nutrition is built on.

Functional RDN IBCLC Lactation Consultant Postpartum Doula Mom of 4

Through my own pregnancies and postpartum experiences, I've learned a crucial lesson: self-care is essential to effectively care for others.

As a Registered Dietitian, IBCLC Lactation Consultant, Postpartum Doula, and fellow mom, I am passionate about helping moms thrive postpartum. I want you to feel confident about breastfeeding and your overall health. I understand how exhausting and depleting motherhood can be because I've been there.

As a mother of 4 including twins, and a military spouse, I can honestly say: I get it.

I founded Aloha Nutrition from Hawaii with a simple belief: that every mom deserves root-cause care that gets to the bottom of what's actually going on. I built a team of Functional Dietitians and IBCLC Lactation Consultants who share that same philosophy, so you always have expert support in your corner.

Aloha Nutrition was founded by Christine "Allegra" Gast while living in Hawaii. She now resides on Cape Cod, MA with her husband and four children, including twins.

Allegra earned her degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Drexel University and became a Registered Dietitian in 2014 after completing a 1,200-hour internship. She went on to work in hospitals, long-term care, fitness, and WIC in Hawaii, where she discovered her passion for supporting mothers through pregnancy and postpartum.

Seeing so many moms struggle with breastfeeding, she pursued the highest credential in the field and became an IBCLC Lactation Consultant, completing 90 hours of education and 1,000 hours of supervised practice. After the birth of her first baby in 2019, she became a Postpartum Doula to better support families in that vulnerable season. She later completed her Functional Nutrition training through FNPI, where she deepened her root-cause, whole-body approach to health.

How We Work

Our approach to your care.

πŸ”¬

Root-Cause First

We use specialty lab testing like the DUTCH test, GI Map, HTMA, and full thyroid panels to find out what's actually driving your symptoms, not just mask them.

🀝

Genuinely Personalized

No templates, no generic plans. Every protocol is built around your labs, your history, your life, and your goals.

Mom-to-Mom Understanding

Every member of our team is a mom. We don't just understand your experience clinically. We've lived it, and that changes how we show up for you.

🌍

Serving Families Worldwide

Founded in Hawaii, we now support families across the country and around the world through our HIPAA-compliant virtual platform, Practice Better.

What Moms Are Saying

Real moms.
Real results.

I was hesitant to work with a lactation consultant, but I'm so glad I did. Allegra helped me through issues with latching and positioning, which helped with pain and eliminated clogged ducts. More than that, she gave me the confidence needed to continue on my breastfeeding journey when it would have been easier to give up.

Melissa B.

I lost my baby weight and had a consistent milk supply under her guidance, encouragement, and supervision. I cannot recommend her enough. I was getting so discouraged when I wasn't able to lose my baby weight while maintaining my milk supply, but Allegra at Aloha Nutrition was the turning point I needed.

Rebecca P.

Allegra's calm and reassuring demeanor immediately put me at ease. She was incredibly thorough, had answers to all my questions, and set me up with the tools and resources I needed. If it wasn't for Allegra, I really may have given up out of fear and anxiety. I'm feeling so much more confident now.
