Aloha Nutrition has been a game changer for our breastfeeding journey. She identified his tongue tie, helped with breastfeeding positioning so we were both more comfortable, sized me for the proper flanges for pumping, and has just been a major resource/support for us. We would still be in the dark, struggling along if it weren’t for her. She is a wealth of knowledge and such a kind person as well!

Allegra is an absolute gem. I had gotten to the point with my newborn that it was so painful to breastfeed that I would cry. I contacted Allegra and that day she fit me in for a virtual appointment. She spent a lot of time with me and helped significantly. Then a few days later I had an in person appointment. That appointment was a game changer. Highly recommend, and if I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!

I was hesitant to work with a lactation consultant, but I’m so glad I did! I was experiencing pain when nursing and recurrent clogged ducts. I was also preparing to return to work and was concerned about my pumping output meeting my baby’s needs. Allegra helped me through issues with latching and positioning which helped with pain and eliminated clogged ducts. She gave me tips and tricks to help increase pump output. More than that, she gave me the confidence needed to continue on my breastfeeding journey when it would have been easier to give up. I cannot recommend her services enough!

I can’t recommend Allegra’s lactation consulting highly enough! I’m a FTM and reached out, panicked, when I realized my milk supply was delayed. Allegra’s calm and reassuring demeanor immediately put me at ease. She was incredibly thorough, had answers to all my questions and set me up with the tools and resources I needed to encourage my supply to come in and continue in my breastfeeding journey successfully. If it wasn’t for Allegra, I really may have given up out of fear and anxiety. I’m feeling so much more confident now and SO grateful to have this special time with my baby.

Allegra has been an invaluable resource! Of the 3 CLCs and 3 IBCLCs that I’ve seen, she has been the best. Compassionate, knowledgeable, skilled, and supportive! I’m confident that her support has allowed me to succeed as long as I have. She helped me advocate for my goals and wishes when other healthcare professionals recommended I stop breastfeeding. Her additional background and degree in nutrition adds an extra layer of knowledge and problem solving that made me feel like she was seeing my son and I as whole people rather than just latch, oral tension, position, or supply. Initially, I was hesitant about seeing a virtual lactation professional, but I was so very wrong. Her virtual appointments have been more helpful than anything conducted in person, because instead of being in an unfamiliar clinical space with uncomfortable furniture, I was in my home on my couch where I typically feed. She has been able to work with our needs and schedule to see us quickly in more crisis situations and allow my husband to participate based on his work schedule. Next time, I plan to work with her from the beginning rather than struggle with other resources!!
